The Animal Protection Blueprint for Industrial Aquaculture
Authored by Aquatic Life Institute, the Center for Animal Law Studies (CALS), and the Multispecies Collective, The Animal Protection Blueprint for Industrial Aquaculture establishes a set of principles to help reduce suffering of billions of farmed aquatic animals today while preventing the expansion of industrial aquaculture into new species, production systems, and regions.
This Blueprint acts as a starting point for advocacy and is intended to be adapted, strengthened, and supplemented by local stakeholders according to regional contexts, scientific developments, and legal systems. It can function as a guidepost for stakeholders; a practical reference point for policy, standards, and investment decisions; and a foundation for accountability.
