Marine Molina, Veterinarian and Effective Altruism community member

Marine Molina is a French veterinarian and Effective Altruism community member with a strong focus on aquatic and marine animal welfare. Originally trained in science, she decided to pursue veterinary medicine as a way to apply scientific thinking and evidence-based approaches to improving the lives of animals.

She graduated from the École Nationale Vétérinaire d'Alfort (EnvA) and developed a particular interest in aquatic animal welfare, including research related to fish sentience, pain perception, and behavioral indicators of stress in fish. She is Fear Free certified and brings a welfare-centered, low-stress approach to clinical practice.

Marine has completed specialized training in marine animal medicine through Seavet Clinical Training and the Marine Mammal Medic Course with British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR), and volunteered at ARCHELON, the Sea Turtle Rescue Centre in Greece.

Marine brings to ALI a combination of scientific training, veterinary expertise, and a strong commitment to advancing evidence-based approaches to improving the welfare of aquatic animals.
