Amandine Sanvisens, Founder - Projet Animaux Zoopolis

Projet Animaux Zoopolis (PAZ) founder Amandine Sanvisens is one of the leading voices for animal protection in France. She cofounded PAZ in 2017 and has led high-profile campaigns on issues including wild animals in circuses, recreational fishing, and urban animal policy.

Amandine previously led ALI’s European initiatives, helping build the organization’s EU policy and advocacy efforts. During her time at ALI, she organized and developed relationships with European policymakers and helped coordinate advocacy initiatives focused on aquatic animal welfare, including an event with the President of the European Parliament’s Fisheries Committee.

Before her advocacy work, Amandine founded Vegan Folie’s, one of France’s first vegan bakeries. She has become a prominent public advocate for animals in France, with profiles in major French media including Le Monde and Quotidien. In 2025, she was named a Knight of the French National Order of Merit in recognition of her work for animal protection.
